The historic and picturesque town of Blue Hill, established in 1789, is located on Blue Hill Bay.  With around two thousand residents, this charming small town is home to many restaurants, galleries, shops, and preservation hiking trails. Whether you are looking to kayak, bike, hike, swim, explore, or just sit on the beach and relax, you are sure to love your time in Blue Hill. In the summer enjoy swimming, hiking, boating, and of course plenty of locally sourced and excellently prepared cuisine. Fall brings beautiful foliage, the Blue Hill Fair, and the Food, Wine & Foliage Festival, the Arborvine's famous Wine Dinner, and The Vinery and Deep Water Brewing Co.'s Octoberfest. Winter is not to be missed with beautiful ski and snow shoe trails, ice skating, and a romantic dinner by the fireplace at Arborvine. Spring arrives with beautiful flowering apple trees and native lupines, first of the year greens and strawberries from many local organic farms, and increasingly warmer and sunnier days. Whatever the season, Blue Hill is sure to fulfill your desires year round.
